THINKING ABOUT SOME NEW TECH?
Thinking about solar panels, heat pumps, insulation, or other energy upgrades? Dive into whether they’re the right fit for your home.
PLANNING PERMISSION
Many energy upgrades are considered Permitted Developments and so don’t require planning permission, particularly if they don’t affect the external appearance of your property. Planning permission is usually needed for properties in conservation areas or national landscapes, flats, and listed buildings. Always check whether planning permission is required before you start an upgrade project.

STORIES FROM NEAR YOU
“We had a solar PV system installed with a 5kW battery, and it’s been fantastic. The extra power we generate during the day gets stored for the evening, and we noticed savings straight away – over £600 in the first year alone! We’ve had the system for 18 months now and it’s still performing brilliantly.”

“I’ve been thinking about getting solar for a couple of years, but I had no idea how quick and straightforward the whole process would be. From the initial enquiry to the onsite survey and installation, everything was completed in under three weeks. It was incredibly easy. Now, with both the panels and battery installed, we’re pretty much self-sufficient, it’s been a brilliant upgrade!”
Stuart, Resident
“Owning an electric vehicle turned out to be far less hassle than I expected – it’s cheaper to run, simpler to service, and I never worry about range. I just charge at night and it’s ready to go every morning.”
